Time is flying by!

Life is so busy and time is flying by faster than I can document it on the blog. So many things have happened since the last blog entry and I'll let you read on about some. This picture was taken at the end of April for my Aunt Sandy's birthday party-as you can see, Elly is sitting up by herself now (with a little help and reassurance from a pillow) and Evelyn is being Miss Tude-"Atti Tude" that is.

I have finished my spring semester classes at St. E and are now enrolled in 6hrs for the summer course. This course requires 12hr Monday clinicals, and 8hr Tuesday clinicals for 5weeks! On top of that, there's no prep the day before and multiple patients!! It's just like the real world-so far I've stayed on top of things and have had two successful clinicals.

I've also just returned from my first ever SMWC Reunion Weekend!!! It was a blast! I had an awesome time with great friends and some new ones ;) and felt reunited with the college. There's a new president of the college, the first male pres ever, and I believe he will take the college and all facets into the future with pride.

Pete has had a busy several weeks too. He recently went to a bachelor party in St. Louis with some guys for baseball, food and beer ;) He's also been pulling the weight of parenting around here with me concentrating on school so much he's really stepping up the be the rock in the family. He took the girls out several days before Mother's Day and helped them pick out some flowers and other presents. Evelyn picked out some orange Celosia's and Elly picked yellow African Daisies. He's busy mowing the yard and pulling the girls around in their red wagon.

Evelyn has been busy too! She's recently moved up in school to the 1yr olds class which allows her to walk around and get on some big kid toys, climb in and out of chairs around the snack/lunch table and sleep on a cot for nap time! I was really worried about that one because she likes to roll in her crib at home. So far she's taking to the cot and she's down to one nap per day. She loves bubbles both inside and outside, loves to take a ride in the wagon to check the mail or around the block, and loves to get into everything at her eye level ie the cookie drawer. She wants to do everything on her own, for example, she won't take a bite of corn off the spoon when offered, but if you pour it on her tray in the high chair, she'll pick each piece one at a time. Tedious but very cute!

Miss Elly has learned to sit up on her own and is enjoying first stage foods! She's not liking the babyfood yet but we keep on trying! She is also doing well in school and receives complements from the teachers all the time. They tell me they want more cuties like her! Elly also enjoys sitting in the wagon with big sister and going up and down the sidewalk. She has grown two teeth on the bottom middle and loves showing them off with her big smiles.

I hope you enjoy the blog and keep checking for more Kopetski Family Fun Info!

Back in time....

I know this is an old picture, considering Evelyn is now 16mo and Elly is 5mo, and the picture is from November 7, 07, but it's so cute I had to share it. Thanks to my Aunt Sandy, she snapped this picture at the hospital the night Elly was born. Evelyn looks thrilled to have a sister don't you think?!

Also, want to appologize for not updating the blog. I'm very busy with school because we're getting close to the end-only 3 more weeks! Here's a quick update from the past month. My grandpa had surgery 3/27 and is doing great! Our Easter was nice with the girls looking cute in their green dresses this year and we had fun visiting family. However, the weather should have cooperated more! We took Elly on her first walk to the park, and Evelyn's first walk this year also. Evelyn is getting into the slides and swings, but is not too sure about that green crunchy sticky stuff growing from the ground-grass. She doesn't like to sit in it that well and almost remains motionless once she's in the grass. I can't wait to see how she is once it's nice enough to wear shorts and go barefooted. Also, Evelyn is getting dangerously close to walking on her own! She will transfer from couch to table with ease, rearrange our kitchen chairs, and even initiate walking to you from a door! Elly is now taste testing baby food rice, carrots and sweet potatoes. She makes this yucky face and I'll have to post that soon. She's growing so fast that she's wearing 6-9mo clothes and hand-me-down outfits Evelyn wore a short time ago! Hopefully everyone is doing great and getting ready for warmer weather! Let us know how you're doing and I'll try to update more frequently!

Easter is on its way!

Since Easter is coming up, it gives Pete and I another opportunity to take cute pictures of the girls! And these two pictures are priceless! We were in Target browsing through their dollar section, which conveniently is at the front of the store, and we came across these bunny ears. I could not resist trying them on the girls. As you can see, Evelyn is not sure what to make of the ears, but smiles non-the-less because she's posing for a camera. Elly, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying the larger than her head ears and has no problem looking silly in the store. More pictures to come with Easter this weekend. Hope everyone has a great holiday and remember the real reason for Easter-Christ.

Introducing Elly!!

I've decided to finally introduce you to the newest member of the family-Ellynor Renee! These pictures were taken professionally a couple of weeks ago in February. She smiled so much for the photographer that it was incredibly difficult to pick the photos we wanted! She smiled more in this one session that her older sister Evelyn has her entire first year of professional pictures! Hopefully she continues this trend and we'll always end up with great grins!

Evie - The New Diva!

This is a picture of Evelyn with Mommy's sunglasses while waiting for Daddy to pull the car up at Sears at Tippecanoe Mall. Evelyn sat long enough to smile and pose for the camera like a pro! (It runs in the family) ;) She's rapidly becoming our new little Diva!

Good Mornings!

This is Evelyn enjoying her breakfast-Cheerios and bananas. She's a very happy girl in the morning and loves to pose for the camera (evident in this picture). Today she woke up at 6:15, which is pretty much an average time for her. Pete and I were already up before that time because Evelyn's lil'sis Elly decided to get up at 5:50!! Doesn't anyone believe in sleeping in anymore??

Evie's well again

Last week Evelyn went to the doctor because of wheezing problems and was placed on Albuterol (bronchodilator) and Amoxicillin (antiinfective) for 2 ear infections! We had our one week check up today and found that everything is back to normal. She's clear of the wheezing and clear of ear infections. Her energy level has reached a new heights. We thought she was active before we new she wasn't feeling well, and now that she is well? LOOK OUT! Hopefully I'll get some pictures to post soon of our family, but for right now you'll have to settle for words!
